

Eric completed his Bachelor of Built Environment (Industrial Design) at the Queensland University of Technology and went on to complete a Graduate Diploma in Industrial Design. His research project investigated the complications associated with premature birth and the design of supportive care devices to improve the development of preterm neonates. He was awarded the industry prize for most outstanding student in his graduating class, and subsequently entered professional industrial design practice in one of the top design consultancies in Brisbane.

Through professional practice and further studies, Eric acquired expertise surrounding manufacturing technology, product innovation and user experience. He has been involved in the development of products such as intelligent IoT locking devices, immersive VR devices, lighting fixtures, last-mile parcel delivery solutions, and FMCG packaging.
Eric completed the WIPO-QUT Master of Laws in Intellectual Property, offered jointly by the United Nations World Intellectual Property Organization and QUT Faculty of Law.
Eric commenced his patent attorney career in 2018 at one of the largest IP firms in Australia and went on to be registered as an Australian and New Zealand patent and trademarks attorney.
